Biography

Sam Bilton in a food historian, who runs workshops and cooking demonstrations at food festivals around the UK. She appears on TV and radio as an expert on recipes from the past. She reviews recent cookery titles at Comfortablyhungry.com and is a member of the committee on awards at the Guild of Food Writers. Her first book, published in 2021, is First Catch Your Gingerbread. She won a Gourmand Award for her blog, which was judged 'Best in World 2021'.
