Christopher Hirst is a freelance food journalist and restaurant critic. In 2006, he was Glenfiddich Food Writer of the Year and in 2012 he won the Fortnum & Mason Award for Food Writing. In 2010, Fourth Estate published his book Love Bites: Marital Skirmishes in the Kitchen. For 13 years, he wrote ahumorous column called The Weasel for The Independent.
