Biography

Thi Bich Phuong Le is a Malaysian-born, Sydney-raised, Melbourne-based chef of Vietnamese descent. She runs Anchovy, a restaurant in inner city Richmond, known as a flavor powerhouse that is often recognised for its innovation as well as advocacy of Vietnamese cuisine and techniques. She trained in European kitchens before forging out in 2015 to establish herself in Australia’s cosmopolitan and layered culinary scene. Alongside Anchovy, she runs a wood-fired banh mi shop with her partner, in life and business, J.Y. Thi is the best regarded voice in Vietnamese cookery and techniques in Australia today.
