Biography

Jay Rayner is The Observer's restaurant critic. He also chairs The Kitchen Cabinet on Radio 4, in which audience questions are fielded by a panel of food experts, with regular panelists including food historian Annie Gray and Tim Hayward. In 2021, when many restaurants were closed due to the coronavirus pandemic, he published a series of articles in the Observer celebrating the following ten cookbooks.
