The first cook book that opened my eyes to real food and cooking.
For its honesty.
Incredibly inspiring.
Pure class, my mum gave me her copy which fell apart so I bought another.
Because it makes me want to be French.
All I need to know.
I bought this book for my wife 1 day before she gave birth to our first daughter. Bad move, good book though.
For recipes like curing bacon, rook pie, mock goose (cow heart) and bitter rowan jelly.
When this came out it felt like a very genuine honest piece of work from a husband and wife.
Unique and inspirational for everyone who loves real food.
